On July 22nd I, along with Pro-Line team mate Mike Aliberti, attended the Short Course Nationals Warmup race at R/C Madness in Enfield, CT.  Upon arriving at the track we were greeted with one of the coolest layouts I’ve been to in a while.  The R/C Madness crew put together a very fun and challenging layout on their huge outdoor track.  At first the layout looked a little intimidating with several triples, a large double, a rhythm section and monster berm, but after a few practice laps I was comfortable and really began to have fun.  The layout flows very nice and can be very fast.  The track surface is pretty typical of the New England tracks with a hard packed base with some fluff on top.  Traction varies from low to medium depending how much water is on the track.

After 3 rounds of qualifying I was 3rd in 4wd and 2nd in 2wd with Mike taking the TQ in 2wd.  At the start of the 2wd main a driving error put me all the way back to 9th place.  I was able to fight my way back up to finish 3rd while Mike walked away with the win.  The 4wd main was very close with the top 5 guys within seconds of each other for the majority of the race.  I was able to advance to 2nd place but unfortunately on the last lap fell back to 3rd where I finished.

Mike and I both used M4 HoleShots mounted on +3mm F11 wheels on the front and rear of our 2wd trucks and in 4wd I used M4 Blockades on F11 wheels.  Both vehicles were topped with #3355-00 Flo-Tek bodies, Chris Cristo.

Later this year, West Coast R/C Raceway will host the 2012 ROAR Super Nationals. In preparation, they are hosting the Nationals Championship Series over the next six weeks.

160+ entries showed up for round 1 of the series and it was Team Associated and Pro-Line Driver Ryan Cavalieri took the TQ and Win in both Expert 2wd Buggy and Expert 4wd Buggy. Ryan used his World Champion proven Factory Team B4.1 Worlds Edition and Factory Team B44.1 equipped with LRP SXX V2 speed controls and Pro Line accessories to set the pace.

Look for the series to be a popular destination as the ROAR Nationals get closer.

Pre-Assembled – Install and Go!
Transmissions are complicated and have a lot of moving parts. Pro-Line has done the work for you and pre-assembled the transmission to get you to the track faster! All you have to do is Install and Go! The Sealed, Oil-filled Differential has been pre-filled with 5,000 wt. diff oil and the slipper system has been pre-set for proper performance.  Installation Instructions and Exploded Views with part #’s can be found on the Pro-Line Website under the 6092-00 Performance Transmission product page.

Sealed, Oil-Filled Gear Differential
The single biggest feature and upgrade over the stock transmission is Pro-Line’s Performance Differential. The design is based off of 1/8 Buggy style sealed differentials and is completely tunable to current track conditions by changing the weight of the diff oil. The Differential features super smooth Steel Internal Diff Gears for the ultimate in durability, and 4 O-Rings and a Diff Gasket that seals against fluid leakage. You will be amazed at how smooth the Differential is and how much it improves the performance of your vehicle.

Race Inspired Slipper System with Vented Discs
The Performance Transmission features a proven, race style slipper pad and plate system that is more consistent, lighter and runs truer than the stock slipper design. The plates are Hard Anodized Aluminumwith Vent Holes, which reduces heat and improves slipper consistency. Lightweight Transmission and Gears
Pro-Line’s new Performance Transmission has 20% less rotating mass and is over 20% lighter overall than the stock transmission. Rocky Mountain Meltdown
June 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in Calgary Alberta Canada

Brady’s first race with Pro-Line went as planned! He started the weekend off right by qualifying his Hot Bodies D8 first in round one, two and three, taking the TQ. The main started great with a sizable gap on second place. At only 9 years old he handled the pressure well, building a two lap lead. On the last lap he got in a tangle with a lapped car and flamed out, but he had a big enough lead that it didn’t matter. Pro-Line’s Blockade M3 tires worked great! First win! I’m sure there will be more!
