Hauenstein to JQ Products Germany

JQ Products In Germany

Jörg “Haui” Hauenstein is the newest addition to the JQ Products Team. Coming from a kart-racing background, where was able to win over famous drivers like F1 star Michael Schumacher, he now races 1/8th buggy class and continues his success. In 2011 he won the Nitromasters series in Germany and plans on defending his title in 2012 running JQ Products’ THECar. Here is a statement by our German Distributors RC City:
“Haui” has been a big fan of JQ from day one and is very impressed with his success in releasing a car all of his own. When he saw how quickly JQ Products fixed all reported problems with the first batch, he was eager to get on board and be part of the best team in the world. After getting in contact with us he soon signed a two year contract and is now racing THECar in Germany and Europe. We would like to welcome “Haui” and wish him and us most success and fun in racing for and with us.

JQ Products THE CNC Rear Hubs

Though these have been out for sometime already JQ products have just released the following video showcasing the advantages and quality of their CNC Hubs.

Youtube Desc: We developed these rear alu hubs for those racers whom prefers using aluminium in some parts of their car. Reliability will be increased…they are harder! But also, their base is thinner than the original hub, so it can be moved 2mm more forwards or backwards to change THECar’s handling.

JQ Products Wins In Spain and Ireland

Spain

We have received good news from Spain, where THECar has started growing in popularity recently. Here is a note from our distributor HobbyRoyal:

“Today the “Cordoba-Jaen Championship”‘s 4th round took place and JQ Products dominated this event, placing 2 cars in the A Main and winning it by the hands of Alberto Ruiz, who won by around 20secs over second place. That was not enough so Carlos Hidalgo decided to win the promotion final, a final designed to be raced only by new drivers in the championship.”

Ireland

Bradley (left) and Blaine Baird. Brothers from Ireland, with the coolest accents at JQ Products.

Bradley Baird got his 2012 season off to a great start taking seven of the ten rounds of the Navan Nitro Nuts winter championship. All ten rounds were held on the all astro turf facility. Throughout the ten rounds Bradley piloted his JQ THE car to TQ at 6 of the ten rounds and seven wins throughout the winter series. You can find Bradley’s Astro Setups HERE. (Later tonight)

JQ Products RTR Car

Picking out any race car for the first time or even not the first time is a task in itself with all the choices. What makes you decide which car you want can decide on the history behind it, the driver your inspired by, the looks, the speed and a bunch of other factors.

So you get your car which ever it may be and then you need an engine radio gear wheels tyres etc etc. That’s what we think the reason behind JQ’s RTR release of the car will be.

At the moment JQ Products are picking the best parts to go inside, its expected to be a full rtr kit with engine  and electronics. Though this is not set in stone its all we have for now below is a video of the RTR Kit on a track.

Preparing For Practice Day At Deerdale The Day/Night Before.

As you may of seen in an earlier post today (racepsecs) went back to Deerdale today for some more practice. Getting there however was not so easy, on Sunday i went down to DRCORC to test out there new track layout. Which has a multi surface astro mud and grass and a cross over bridge.

Was a great day except for the breakages, i did turn up with my only set of tyres being mini pins so didn’t start the day too well.

The New multi surface layout being the only one of its kind in Nottingham/Derby

As warned the mini pins didn’t fare too well in the dirt sections or on the slabbed part, therefore resulting in spin outs and crashes. On the slabbed part there is a slight gap as you drop off before the edge and if you dont go quick enough you hit the front of your car on it.

I also ended up breaking a lower sus arm.

Car is dirty and its time to rebuild it for the return to Deerdale

Always a must when repairing the race car getting out the trusty 30 odd year old table never fails except one of the legs as you can see pictured a white garden chair is holding the right side up.

Changed over from diff oils 7,000 – 5,000 – 2,000 front to rear to 5,000 all round found at Deerdale this made the car much smoother in acceleration and also held well round corners. Noticed a huge difference in the pick up.

So we hit the open road, coming to a Nottingham track near you.
